Having been a student for a number of years I have seen my playing improve in multiple different areas through Alan’s flexible teaching. He has a wealth of musical knowledge and is willing and able to work on many different styles. Alan is very easy to get along with providing both support and encouragement during lessons.

I can thoroughly recommend Alan as a guitar teacher and have recommended him already to family members, friends and colleagues at work all of whom have attended lessons with Alan for extended periods of time. Alan is generous with his time and prepares well ahead of time for lessons. His teaching style puts you at ease and is adept at modifying lessons to match the needs of the student. He also happens to be a great guy just for a chat on music of all styles.
